Online Education History

Internet has provided us with many wonderful gifts – from video games to music and a lot more. Today, we can get all the information in the world with the help of internet. The online education or e-learning is the latest addition which internet has brought in front of us. These virtual classrooms on the internet have opened plenty of opportunities for students around the world.

There is absolutely no doubt that e-learning has given new incentive and hope to learn. However, you must be surprised to know that the concept of e-learning started in the early 1980’s. During that time educational institutes and companies hired qualified instructors for training their students. It proved quite expensive but there was not much option left as computers were still at a nascent stage. But the mode of instruction proved great as it allowed hands on training.

The fact that students could see the lessons and interact with other pupils made it all the more special. However, the factor of ‘blank time’ proved as a real problem for the students in the 80’s. These students were unable to study the materials on their leisure time.

Fortunately, with the growth of computer industry things started to look a lot brighter. E-training and e-learning soon became a reality. Multimedia was the next big thing! Companies started to utilize PowerPoint slide shows; a program which made people to produce creative presentations. This sophisticated technology gave new dimension to e-learning.

The first serious form of any online education in the world was experienced during 1990’s. It was the time when both multimedia and internet were at their prime. E-learning companies at that time devoted their services primarily to businesses which were not that keen to hire professional trainers. The online form of education and training proved a great success for the new employees. The training provided them the foundation and at the same time prepared them for the upcoming challenges. However, the growth of education online moved at an extremely slow pace. This was mainly because of text based course content. The positive response gave birth to fresh online course content. And soon upgraded online study materials were available for various

Happy Home School Children

Imagine how happy your child would be if you told them, they never have to go to a public school or a private school ever again. They would be jumping for joy right. With good reason, the fact is that children are under a great deal of stress and peer pressure in both the private and the public schools now days. This makes kids not want to go to school.

Happy home schoolchildren do not have to get up every morning and get dressed in uniform or fancy expensive clothing to go to school. Happy home schoolchildren get to hang out with mom, dad, or a family member all day long. The home schooling is much more relaxed atmosphere and the child gets to bond and build a better relationship with the home schooling parent or guardian.

Happy home schoolchildren can take their time and learn at their own pace instead of try to cram weeks of lessons into one or two weeks.

This is much easier on any child to do. Public and private schools try to rush threw the textbooks and lesson plans because they are on a tight schedule this is not the case with home schooling a child.

Happy home schoolchildren get to spend more free time and less time getting to and from classes or school because they are already at school when they are home schooled. The child will also make better grades when he or she is being home schooled. The reason for this is that there is much less distraction for the child. Every classroom has a class clown or someone who wants to be the center of attention therefore they will disrupt the class to get the attention they need or want. This keeps your child distracted and keeps them from doing their best at all times.

A happy home schoolchild is well rested and in much better physical condition.

Because, he or she is not exhausted from going to school; back and fourth every day all day long. The child can get up when they want and start their learning day at home.

Happy home schooled children also get to have breaks and go on vacation when they wish to. If the family needs to leave for some reason, the school can be, packed up with the luggage and studied anywhere any time.

These are just some of the reasons why home schooled children are so happy and love home schooling over the public and the private schools. There are many other kinds of benefits to home schooling children and having happy children instead of depressed and bored stiff children.

Home schooling is fun and much easier for the child to

The Need For Natural Health Education

As I was working as a nurse in local hospitals and clinics I found myself feeling that I needed to do more for the patients. I wanted to spend more time with them and provide preventative care and emotional support. The problem was I had numerous patients and ended up being a technician of sorts, administering medications and monitoring IVs. I had little time for focused bedside care. The type of care Florence Nightingale spoke about in her writings numerous times.

The part I enjoyed was dong the treatments such as, bandage changes, compresses, and urine tests. That may sound strange but by doing that I had more contact with the patient and had more in-depth conversations with them.

I got out of nursing for a short period of time and worked with property management and attorneys. All the while I saw the buildings I managed as my patients and even kept the files as I did for patients in the hospital. It was an interesting job but I still had the feeling deep within me to help others in need.

During my days in real-estate I was faced with health issues such as chronic sinus infections, allergies, gallbladder pain, low blood sugar, fatigue and elevated liver function tests. I knew at that time that I needed to help myself. I sought out conventional medical care but only found that I had to repeat use of conventional drugs, drugs that just helped temporally and had a list of side effects. These drugs also caused my liver function to rise.

Due to my dissatisfaction I decided to seek out natural health care. Upon doing so I used homeopathics, herbs, and supplements that a practitioner recommended to me. My heath turned around drastically. I became stronger and reduced and eliminated the use of many of the drugs.

With all of the positive changes in my life I decided to seek out education in natural health. All those many years ago the education was difficult to find and when I mentioned it to family and friends they though I was a bit strange with my change in perspective. Even so I was determined to find classes. I trained with homeopathic practitioners, homeopathic professional organizations, a hypnotherapy guild, a reiki center, a shiatsu and healing center for acupressure and many more.

Since I found and completed many classes I then started to consult clients as a natural health care nurse. My education grew and I eventually obtained a doctorate degree in Holistic Health, Naturopathy

Checking References on your Nanny

1) If you are planning to meet a candidate that you have contacted from an online service, word-of-mouth, an advertisement response, or an agency, be sure to request the following information prior to the meeting: Employment History, Letters of Reference, Driving Record, Proof of Legality to work in this country along with proper identification. If all this information is in order, then schedule the meeting; otherwise, you could be wasting your time.

2) Bring your own application for the candidate to fill out before you. Have the candidate sign an authorization form allowing you to complete a background check for purposes of hiring. You can formulate your own questions on the application. As long as the questions are not discriminatory, this will facilitate your decision-making.

3) After a personal in-depth interview, take all the information gathered and begin to check references and do all the necessary background checks.

Have a sheet ready with the questions for the reference check and write down the responses.

4) If you are satisfied with the reference and background investigations, then call back the candidate to now come to your home and meet your family. Let this part of the interview be more informal where there is plenty of interaction between the children and the candidate. If you are still not sure that this candidate is the one, then set-up a trial day or week to observe the candidate’s skills more closely.

5) If that phase of the process goes well and the entire family feels comfortable with the candidate, then set up a meeting to sit down with you and review the job offer. Have an employee/employer contract available with everything you are offering stipulated: salary and deductions, schedule, overtime, vacation, holidays, sick days, duties, expectations, terms for review and salary increases and method of termination. If you require a confidentiality agreement, have this ready for your candidate as well so that all this can be reviewed carefully before making a job offer.

6) At the final meeting, go over one last time, the job description, what is expected and provided as well as all the agreements in place. Then sit down to sign the paperwork. Set a start date.

7) Do not assume that your work is done just because the interview process and due diligence went well. The amount of input and training
